Pokemon Sun How to Get Battle Points Easy Pokebank

Pokmon Bank is an expansion of the entire box system in Pokmon games, and as such, it expands upon the concept giving a variety of new aspects and features. Some match and expand upon ones from the main-game, while others are completely new to Pokmon Bank.

Game Selection

The main feature of Pokmon Bank is allowing you to transfer Pokmon between various games. However, in addition to the generational transfer of Pok Transporter, you can transfer between Pokmon X & Y. As the games can be downloaded, the game offers you a choice of what game to utilise in your transfer. You can exit out and reload the other game at will, and it gives you the details of the game's current status.

The most interesting point of this is that it ignores the 3DS's region lock, meaning that you can put an American game into a Japanese 3DS and use Pokmon Bank there.

With the Sun & Moon update, while you can add Pokmon to Sun & Moon, once they have enterred the game, despite being storable on Pokmon Bank, they will not be able to return to any Generation VI game.

Groups

A new feature in Pokmon Bank is the ability to organise your boxes into groups. These groups can be renamed and you can place any of your 100 Pokmon Bank boxes in it. As such, if you wish to store Shiny Pokmon in four boxes, you can group them into the group you call Shiny, same with Competitive and any other group you desire

Search

In Pokmon X & Y, there's a new feature of the Pokmon Box that allows you to search for certain Pokmon, types, with specific moves and so forth. This returns in Pokmon Bank, but has a difference.

In X & Y, the Pokmon that don't match the criteria will just become transparent, but Bank gives you a list of all your Pokmon. These lists can be sorted by a variety of attributes including Level, type, stats etc., and filtered so that it only lists the Pokmon that match your search criteria. From here, you can then gain quick access to the box that Pokmon is stored in, and/or see the Pokmon's summary.

The search criteria is as follows:

  • Pokmon Species: On each category, you can then filter by Pokmon species
  • Gender: This allows you to organise all Pokmon by gender: Male, Female or Genderless
  • Type: This will organise Pokmon by type. First by Primary type, and then by Secondary. You can also filter to search for Pokmon of a specific type.
  • Nature: This will allow you to sort by and search for Pokmon by nature.
  • Marking: Like in the game, you can mark all Pokmon. You can search for Pokmon based on the marking and if it is Kalos native
  • Level: You are able to sort by Level, both highest-to-lowest and lowest to highest
  • Stat: You are able to sort by each stat, both highest to lowest and lowest to highest
  • Attacks: You are able to search for Pokmon by whether or not they know a specific
  • Abilities: You are able to filter Pokmon by specific abilities
  • OT and ID: When you're in the search, you can check for Pokmon with a specific OT/ID, designated by the Pokmon you are currently highlighting
  • Shiny: You have the ability to filter Pokmon by whether or not they are Shiny
  • PokRus: You have the ability to filter Pokmon by whether they have PokRus or have been infected by it in the past
  • Pokdex Number: You have the ability to filter Pokmon by Pokdex number. The Pokmon does not have to have been from the game to be categorised. There are multiple options
    • National Pokdex: Sorts all Pokmon by their National Pokdex number
    • Alola Pokdex: Filters Pokmon that are in the Alola Pokdex as shown in Pokmon Sun & Moon
    • Hoenn Pokdex: Filters Pokmon that are in the Hoenn Pokdex as shown in Pokmon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire
    • Central Kalos Pokdex: Filters Pokmon that are in the Central Kalos Pokdex in Pokmon X & Y
    • Coastal Kalos Pokdex: Filters Pokmon that are in the Coastal Kalos Pokdex in Pokmon X & Y
    • Mountain Pokdex: Filters Pokmon that are in the Mountain Kalos Pokdex in Pokmon X & Y

PokMiles & Battle Points

When you deposit Pokmon into your Pokmon Bank boxes, you will earn various PokMiles, which can be transferred to Pokmon X & Y to purchase a variety of items. However, this is not just limited to PokMiles. If you do so wish, you can receive these points as 10% of the PokMiles in Battle Points , to allow for spending in various Battle Facilities

These are obtained depending upon how long your Pokmon spend in Bank, and how many Pokmon you have stored. The more and longer you store, the more points you get.

Pokdex

When you have updated the game to the version that allows for Pokmon Sun & Moon, it will give you a special Pokdex feature when you connect with X, Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, Sun & Moon. This will add the Pokmon you have seen and captured to the Pokdex. When you load the Pokdex up with the game loaded into Bank, it will register the game and the Pokmon of the game into the Pokdex.

This means that you don't need to include all the Pokmon into your Bank in order to fill your Pokdex, merely fill your Pokdex in the game and continue it across. To complete the Pokdex in your games, however, you still need to put the Pokmon into the main game.

You can search through the Pokdex like all games based on name, type, colour, shape, appearance (filtering to see seen Mega Evolutions, Alola Forms and Shiny Pokmon) and regional Pokdex options. The game will also give Pokdex entries for each of the game and allow you to change the forms.

Adventure Records

A new feature of Pokmon Bank with the release of Pokmon Sun & Moon is the ability to check your Adventure Records in the Pokdex. This will show each of your registered games and compare them for specific totals, with the winner getting a golden sheen to it. This allows for you to check the following bits of data for each of your games.
